Research in the US (from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has identified that roughly half of people with CFS partially recover, with some returning to work whilst others grow progressively more disabled, this was very much determined by the speed of diagnosis because the sooner a patient is diagnosed and treated, the better the chances of recover.

With CFS/ME affecting sufferers on an emotional, psychological and physical level, a multi facted approach is required to tackle this.

Options include: medicinal, nutritional, and complimentary therapies like hypnotherapy along with managed/graded exercise routines.

Research suggests that malabsorption and deficiencies in a variety of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients may play a role in CFS.

Its for this reason that at The Woodland Practice, we take the treatment of CFS/ME much further than many. Whilst the emotional and psychological aspects are treated through a combination of Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP, we also address the other aspects. For example, your nutritional requirements can be assessed by referral to our associate nutritionist Sanna Anderson, mobility requirements can be addressed by our associate sports massage therapist Martin Yiannoullou, and exercise regimes can be addressed by our associate Personal Trainer Ken Douglas.

Our aim is simple, it's to ensure we look at the whole of you, giving you the best possible chances of recovery.
