What Happens in the Easy Quit Smoking Session?

I use a system devised by Terence Watts, one of the UK’s most prominent and well respected Hypnotherapists. The programme is the only one to have received an award for clinical excellence by the Hypnotherapy Society.

The actual session lasts about 90-120 minutes – its split into 2 parts:

1.     Conversational change. We identify and challenge your belief system (the way you think and feel about smoking); you will be asked lots questions and together we will get you to think differently about smoking. Through challenging your beliefs about why you smoke, you will see smoking in a completely different light, one which will convince and encourage you to stop smoking now.

2.     The hypnosis section.  For about 30 minutes, you’ll be guided into a safe and relaxing state of relaxation where you remain in complete control. Using suggestion, visualisation and positive change techniques, you can stop smoking now and say goodbye to your old habit.

Q. What’s hypnosis like?
You will be in a very light state of relaxation, where you have increased focus and concentration. You naturally go in and out of these states of relaxation several times a day, so it’s something your unconscious mind knows how to do for you already.

Q. Why is my approach different?

Many hypnotherapists base their work on suggestion only, so you could find yourself just listening to them in a relaxed state. I employ belief busting strategies where we explore your BELIEF SYSTEM and work to change that to that of a non smoker. Only then will we move onto the hypnosis part of our session.
